According to recent reports the Sonoma County anti-DUI task force has been awarded $300,000 to continue it’s AVOID the 13 campaign. This campaign focuses on 4 holidays that are believed to have a higher incidence of people DUI in California. Basically it’s the times around the three summer holidays and the Christmas to New Year’s week.
The money will be used for setting up checkpoints, police overtime and other operations. One such operation is a sting that has the police following defendants who, after receiving a license suspension, are stopped if they are observed driving. The county is very serious about DUI and it would be best for anyone charged here or anywhere else in California to hire a California DUI attorney.
Many people who receive a DUI are embarrassed and believe there is nothing that can be done. This may be the case in certain circumstances but no two cases are alike. An experienced DUI attorney can look at the particulars in your arrest and make a judgment as to whether the police acted properly in stopping you in the first place.
Probable cause is just one of the things an experienced DUI attorney analyzes in a case. The improper procedure in use of a breathalyzer or other blood testing equipment or inconsistencies in reports filed are other areas they can train their expert eyes on.
Any embarrassment a person feels should not cause them to avoid getting the help they need to limit the problems this charge can cause. Anyone arrested for DUI should let an experienced California DUI attorney help them receive the fairest, most just and most favorable verdict in their case.
