| in 1984 i was parked along the road when a highway patrol came up behind me (in vermont), he said i had a taillight out, when i got out of the truck a empty (days old)beer bottle fell out. i dont remember getting any kind of tests to see if i was drinking, i do remember driving my truck home. in 2003 my michigan drivers license was expiring so i went to dmv in california (where i moved to tend to my mother in her last days) to get license here, they couldnt give them to me says vermont has a hold on them. since that date in 84 i have gotten a license in ohio and michigan states. in ohio in 1992 i took a defensive driving course (ordered), paid to do this (dont remember how much) went for 10days, finished got a certificate with course completion date, security control no. and signed by the president of the national safety council. when vt. sent me what they expected of me in order to reenstate my license, it was what i had already completed. they would accept the course i went thru if the place i took it at sent them the completion certificate and 50.00 from me. finally got ahold of nsc, they informed me they only keep files for 3yrs then burn them. they have no records of me at all, even tho i have this certificate and even sent it to nsc asking them to send to vt. they couldnt and wondered why it mattered who sent it. anyway all in all vt wants me to take another course and gave me a name of a place they would accept here close to me but the place doesnt do what they are asking but they would still want money from me but couldnt fulfill what vt wanted. so here i am still without license. losing work and stressing lots. i dont have the money and dont feel i should have to pay again. thank you for listening. tbbjjbb7 |
