I would suggest that you call some independent insurance agents in your area. Insurance company's underwriting rules and rates can vary greatly from area to area. A company such as GEICO might do an SR-22 for an existing customer but may not write a new customer if they need one. And some companies will do an SR-22 but at a much, much higher cost than others. An independent agent represents many companies and should be able to get you the best deal in your area. Progressive may or may not be the best in your area so you need to shop. Look in the local yellow pages.
