Out of state DUI

I was pulled over for DUI and supposedly for speeding in a different state then I live in. The cop said i was doing 66 in a 50 which is a complete lie. I was doing 55.

i was arrested and treated like a murder suspect or something. they held me for 15 hours!!!! i am going to sue them for this!!

anyway since this was in a different state will the state i live in find out about this? i still have my driver license. they didn't take it.

i have a court date out of state do you know if i have to travel back to go? i'm going to hire a dui lawyer but was wondering if someone could answer a couple questions first?

I'm surprised they didn't take your license.You need a Lawyer for sure.

Suing will not get you anywhere..you will be fighting MADD they are the ones in control of the Judges believe me. Madd is a huge organization .They ruin too many peoples lives thats for sure. I wish people would up rise and fight back against MADD. Now I know if a drunk driver kills or injures some one or has a wreck they should pay the price.But for those you have a couple drinks..I mean 2 or 3 and are stopped , get a DUI their license taken away jailed, pay thousands and thousands of dollars out THAT IS WRONG.

Yes they treat you like you've murders-kidnaper's .the penalty is almost they same too. And you know what..the lawmakers , judges, politicians the police are Partiers too, they drink but they are not treated the same.

Getting one out of state sucks twice as bad. Ask every single lawyer in town who is the best one, and then pay for him. Now all DMV's are connected throughout the states, and you can end up doing the classes and the community service for each state consecutively!

Figure out which state has the least penalty, and try to get it all taken care of there, if possible. Check this out:

Not to downplay yours, but I moved to NC from MN and got busted. I did the 24 hours of class, then MN found out and I had to do another 24 hours for them. I lost my MN license for 1 year, but that was nothing compared to the FOUR years that I lost it in NC. Granted I had a possibility to get it back after 2 years, and if not, I could reapply 12 months later.

I have had my license for exactly 3 months now. I was declined at each hearing which meant mine was gone for 4 years, and now I have a breathalyzer attached to my car for the next 3 years. Pretty shitty for not doing anything except finding a cop that had nothing to do. And you thought breaking a mirror was bad luck! Get a great lawyer and try to figure out a way out of it.

ya know what really kills me aboutr this whole dui thing, That we have petiphiles running around killing our kids as well we have missing kids that they dont put as much effort into finding them as they do arresting people for duis and the convictions for duis are also almost stricter. I heard also that they put about 50 mill into addvertisments for seatbelt laws what about kidnappers and such??? They say they are worried about us getting killed BS And MADD have ya ever wondered hoe many of them people drank and drove before someone in their family got killed and we never hear about the judges and the lawyers and prosicuters or the people that write these tough dui laws getting a dui cause the get off they get a break from their frienley policemen. and check this one out in texas they arrest people before they even get in their car they are taking them out of the bars for public drunkeness so much for a free country. I wish everyone would stand up and not take it anymore i also know that if we looked hard enough we could all find corruption in our police departmrnts our count count goverments cause those are the ones we all need to worry about the feds dont really bother us as much as they do cause the feds let them make the laws up as they go from state to state ya know. anyway i just wanted to throw that out there. sorry about my bad writing.
