Drivers license problems are probably the hardest punishment to deal with after a DUI arrest. Here you can ask any questions about license suspensions, restricted licenses, DMV hearings, etc...
Remember, the best source of information will always be your DUI lawyer and nothing here constitues an attorney client relationship. None of the info on this forum or website is to be considered legal advice. Use at your own risk. |

Yes. If your drivers license has been suspended in 1 state the theory is that that state will put a "hold" on your license in a national system referred to as the NDR or national driver registry.
Not all states participate (mostly all though) however. But in all member states they will see that your home state has a "hold" on your license and they will not issue you a drivers license until you clear the hold from your home state.
Some people get away with getting out of state licenses but it's normally just luck.
Hope this helps. |

| What do you mean by "Some people get away with getting out of state licenses but it's normally just luck." So it is possible ? |

| In my situation , to reinstate my license I need to pay the fines, take the written test , & file an SR-22 . If I obtain an international license , it won't make a difference right because I'll still need the SR-22 to drive? |

| While I was researching these things on the internet, I read that you could get a license in Colorado.. you might want to check into that. |

...do not share any D/L info with any other state. How you go about getting a license in those two states is an open question. I recently went to Michigan, and spoke to a rental agent about renting a one room hovel so that I could get an electric bill, and he was very dubious...didn't want to do it for me.
I think that there are other ways to get it, just not sure how. |

Won't mess with that color cah-rap any more. The folks in the info that you buy here say that it is against the law for them to help us with this. I can't seem to find any ideas online, either.
Anybody ever do this? |
